Although the dresses are rented, he has bought us all matching green hair ribbons and earrings. Unfortunately, while he has paid a lot of attention to the wedding, he hasn’t paid enough attention to the bridesmaids to notice that my ears don’t have holes in them. They are a ‘dainty’ design (stud post with an emerald and a tiny cluster of tiny diamonds, with 3 tiny chains coming from them with a pearl on each chain) and they would look real naff if I got them converted to clip-on.
Come hell or high water I’ll be wearing them for Sarah’s special day, even if it means forcing them through myself on Saturday morning, so what is the best option?
At the moment, to me the best option seems to be to get my ears pierced tomorrow, however that leaves only four days until the wedding, meaning I’ll be changing them over 5 weeks short of the 6 week ‘healing up’ period, then on Saturday morning scrub my hands, clean my ears and the new earrings thoroughly before changing them, then remove the earrings as soon as I get back from the reception (and either put the original piercing studs back in or leave them to close, depending on whether I decide to keep the piercings).
I’m just wondering if anyone has a better idea?
