I purchased a pair of white gold and diamond earrings about 4 months ago but shortly after i bought them i noticed they were beginning to look dull, not at all sparkly, you couldn’t eetell they had diaonds at all. I took them to a jewelry store to have the cleaned and they looked just a tiny it better. then i bought some jewelry cleaner and that dd not help at all. yesterday i saw the sae pair of earrings in the display case and they looked a million times better. the sales associate said i should talk to a manager to see if he could help. the manager said he could do nothing to help me ut i wanted to see if anyone had any advice on how to clean my earrings to a make them look good again. thank yo

I want to buy my wife a pair of diamond stud earrings. What size is a good size, without being overpowering? I was thinking 1/2 karat total weight. Is that too small?
Also, do you prefer round or princess cut?
Finally, I was looking at some better quality diamonds (near colorless), but I saw some that had a distinctive darker color that I thought were nice looking.
Would it be better to go with a clearer, more expensive diamond or do you think it makes that much difference with a smaller diamond? I like the color of the ones I saw (they seemed to have a blackish tent, but they still sparkled), but I don’t want her to think I went cheep. I want this to be a special gift. I don’t wnat to ask her because I also want this to be a surprise.
