I am not actually all that fond of diamonds. I prefer something with color to it. Diamonds are my birthstone, and frankly, I find them a bit boring. Oh well. Why couldn’t my birthstone have been something like amethyst or Topaz,LOL?

Sure we do, diamond symbolizes everlasting love, that is why engagment rings have diamonds. It might be a while before a ring, but the earrings are beautiful and thoughtful.

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend, you know. I only have one real diamond piece and it’s my beautiful engagement/wedding ring set. I still love it every time I look at it. I don’t think ALL women love them, but I certainly do. I wouldn’t care if they were fake, though, except in the case of my wedding set. I have LOTS of fake diamonds and wear them proudly. LOL. I think girls like the fact that when you buy us a gift we know you are thinking about us, even when we are not with you. Also, the fact that you care about her so much that you might be short for next couple paychecks or so. I think females just want to feel loved even when we are away from our guy. That’s why we love gifts so much. You are very sweet.

yes all girls like diamond because it is the thing that doesn’t get spoilt . and one more reason is that the could show it to their friends and could make herself feel proud.

Personally, I don’t care for jewelry all that much. However, my wedding ring, the only jewelry I wear, is very special to me because of what it represents. It’s not always the diamonds that causes such a reaction. It’s a combination of the person giving the gift and the thought behind it as well.

Yes, I get very happy for a diamond anything. but I think your gf loved them because you were thoughtful enough to get her a beautiful birthday gift. As long as you show your love for her, it really doesn’t matter if it’s diamond earrings or a love poem. Us, women just want to be reminded (every now and then) that we’re loved and appreciated.

I like diamonds but only set in white gold or platinum, I not a big gold fan.

Some like to give and some love to receive. At the end of the day, it is just like flowers or stuffed toys. Evokes the emotion we call “affection”. Only flowers wither and stuffed toys can get spoiled easily…
